Create and Manage Google Forms in Jinba Flow

Use GOOGLE_FORMS_CREATE_FORM to create a form, GOOGLE_FORMS_ADD_QUESTIONS to add questions, GOOGLE_FORMS_BATCH_UPDATE for bulk changes, and GOOGLE_FORMS_GET_FORM to read form data, with Google OAuth.

Google Forms tools allow you to programmatically create and manage Google Forms, add questions, perform batch updates, and retrieve form information. These tools provide comprehensive form management capabilities for surveys, feedback collection, and data gathering.

Connect with Google OAuth

Every Google Forms tool takes a token configuration field that references a GOOGLE_FORMS_OAUTH secret. Go to the Jinba secrets dashboard, connect your Google account for Google Forms, and reference the generated token in the tool config as shown below.

Note: Treat API keys as sensitive information and never commit them to public repositories.

GOOGLE_FORMS_CREATE_FORM

Create a new Google Form.

Input:

publish	boolean	No	Publish the form so it accepts responses (default: true). Forms created via the API after 2026-06-30 start unpublished; set to false to keep the form as a draft. Note that publishing happens at creation time, so the form is live before GOOGLE_FORMS_ADD_QUESTIONS runs

Publish failures: when publish is true and the form could not be published, or Google reports it as not accepting responses, the step fails with a GoogleFormsPublishError. The error is non-retryable because the form already exists (retrying would create a duplicate); the created form’s formId and its real publish state are still returned in result, so you can publish it by hand from the Google Forms editor.

GOOGLE_FORMS_ADD_QUESTIONS

Add questions to an existing Google Form.

GOOGLE_FORMS_BATCH_UPDATE

Apply Google Forms API batchUpdate requests to a form.
